INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA CELEBRATED IN SILIGURI THROUGHOUT

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 21st June, 2015: Today the National Cadet Corps (NCC), Darjeeling District organized the Yoga Diwas in Siligur’s Kanchenjungha Stadium. Today morning at the stadium, the NCC brought in students from various schools located in an around Siliguri to organized the event in line with International Yoga Diwas throughout the world. The chief guest in this occasion was Brig G N Raghuram, Darjeeling District Group Commander – NCC. Not only in Kanchenjungha stadium International Yoga Day was celebrated throughout the city and also in an around it i.e. Trishakti Corps of Sukna Post, SSC at Kadamtala, CII Siliguri, ICAI Siliguri, Art of Living (Siliguri), various schools of CBSE, ICSE and WBBSE and others. Even the Housing societies local clubs of various wards of Siliguri Municipal Corporation also organized International Yoga Diwas in Siliguri. Huge amount of enthusiasm was observed among the participants ranging from age group of 10 to 60 or may be more. Not only had that, Brahmakumaris of Siliguri also organized their Yoga Bhatti at their Ashram at Haiderpara in the morning from 4.00 am.
